Funding -- University of Kentucky Sustainability Challenge Grants - Call for Proposals - $200,000 available; October 15, 2017

 

Today we announced the return of the University of Kentucky Sustainability Challenge Grant Program for its fourth year with another $200,000 available for campus sustainability initiatives.

 

This program is designed to engage multidisciplinary teams from the University community in the creation and implementation of ideas that will simultaneously advance economic vitality, ecological integrity and social equity. The selection process will prioritize projects that engage students and demonstrate the potential to produce results that will catalyze operational, academic and cultural change on our campus and in our community.

 

·         A total of $200,000 is available

·         The maximum award for individual projects is $50,000

·         Deadline to apply is October 15, 2017

·         Awards will be announced in December of 2017

·         Funds will be distributed in January  2018

 

Funding is once again provided by the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Student Sustainability Council, the Provost and the Vice President for Research. The program is jointly coordinated by the Tracy Farmer Institute for Sustainability& the Environment, UK Office of Sustainability and the President’s Sustainability Advisory Committee.
