Submission – USA Funds--Key Transitions in Postsecondary Education; May 1, 2013
USA
Funds® is supporting a new grant-making initiative to further
enhance our impact on student access to and success in postsecondary education.
USA Funds will accept applications from organizations that provide educational
support services, at key transition points in higher education, to students in
our target populations in an effort to increase their persistence to complete
college. Those key transition points are:
Eligible
programs must predominantly serve high school seniors or undergraduate students
from our target populations, which include:

USA
Funds intends to award up to three (3) separate grants with each grant ranging
between $400,000 and $800,000 over the duration of the grant period. Grants may
be awarded for two (2) or three (3) years, depending on the scale and scope of
the program.

Submission:
An organization, institution or university system should submit only one grant
application.
Internal Competition: Because USA Funds
allows an applicant to only submit one application per organization, the
University of Kentucky has established an internal selection process. Individuals
interested in submitting to this program are to submit the following materials
electronically to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu and a copy to their
Associate Dean for Research by Wednesday, May 1, 2013:
The
Vice President for Research will appoint a committee to review this material
and make a recommendation. Questions about the submission process may be
