Webinar-NSF EPSCoR: Research Infrastructure Improvement Track-1(RII Track-2) Information; September 24 & 25, 2014

The Kentucky NSF EPSCoR Office has requested PDO disseminate information about an upcoming Research Infrastructure Improvement Track 2 solicitation which has two thematic areas of focus:  1) Water/Food/Energy Nexus; and 2) Understanding the Human Brain.  NSF will discuss both programs at a webinar on September 24 and again on September 25.  Attached are the webinar login instructions.

Dear Colleagues:

NSF EPSCoR is planning webinars on 24 September and 25 September at 12:00 noon EDT to discuss an upcoming RII Track-2 solicitation.  Login information for the webinar is in the attached PDF.

Based on feedback from you on collaboration at the most recent PD/PA meeting in May 2014, the feedback to employ more experimental elements to the Program, and the Program’s efforts to catalyze EPSCoR engagement in NSF research priorities, the RII Track-2 will have thematic foci: The Water/Food/Energy Nexus and Understanding the Human Brain. Thus, we strongly encourage you to invite investigators in your jurisdictions with research expertise in these two areas well as interested members of your state committees to participate in these webinars with you.

We would encourage representation from all jurisdictions that are eligible for RII activities in FY15 to attend one of the two sessions.  This is Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, US Virgin Islands, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Please disseminate this information to interested individuals in your jurisdiction. We look forward to interacting with you during one of the scheduled webinars.

Sincerely,

Denise Barnes

Head, NSF EPSCoR
